Out of the many, many animations featuring a group of friends and their wacky hijinx at a menial job, this series is one of the ones that feels the most like just hanging out with a group of friends.
To be honest, any of the animations this guy released could have taken this spot. I'll give it to this one because of the copy-paste bears.
Also, how did this guy release 30+ minutes of animation in a year??? Insane!!

A highest quality production, Glitch continues to raise the bar for everyone. I found this release the most adventurous I've seen from the studio, and the most stylish!
El Guapo vs The Narco Vampires (Pilot Animatic)

I was wondering if something would sneak in at the end of the year!
Some of the plot points felt a little stale (I'm getting really tired of being taken to Hell/the afterlife in these animations), but in the end, I found myself engaged in the drama and the Mexican setting and culture added a lot of flavor.

The video that started the animatic trend. There's a difference between prototype and unfinished, people.
The "teen hero has to deal with monsters, destiny, and being a normal high schooler???" storyline is very nostalgic for me. I love seeing it played with! I hope the creator pushes it further in the next episode.

This is how animation should be: friends (probably) coming together, at the top of their game, and just wanting to make something poignant and beautiful! I hope nothing bad happens to them in the end ;_; (not a threat, just a reference to the story)

Wacky, off the wall humor which somehow doesn't stray from feeling like a real adventure. I loved how every second the characters were bouncing between poses; there was so much acting! One of the most "animated" videos on the list.

Another series about a group of friends at a minimum wage job? Snore. Unhinged woman makes a creepy video obsessing over a sub restaurant chain? Hell yeah. The random laughing was peak insanity, best VO of the year.
PUNCH PUNCH FOREVER! - Toothless Aggression

Every episode so far has been a showcase of great character design and humor, but this was the first episode which I think nailed the fight tournament parody/homage, with a return to the ring and a well developed back and forth between the fighters.
The focus on wrestling was what took it from good to great; it was a perfect fit for the story, added a lot of character, and elevated things from being just another string of jokes to a celebration of something that the artist (probably) has great passion for.
If this was a tier list, this would have been in a tier above the rest!
